Catherine Yuill – Cabin at Pembees Gardens

The Cabin at Pembees Gardens has everything you need! Featuring a wood-stove to keep you cozy inside & a wood fired hot tub (additional charge, please inquire for availability) outside. The cabin is attached to our little red barn & just a short stroll from the Medway River/Riverbank General Store. Conveniently located 10 min from Liverpool & 20 min from Bridgewater. A short 12 min drive will bring you to the white sands of Beach Meadows.

*We have 2 dogs and chickens on the premises.

The space

The Cabin’s bedroom features a beautiful four poster queen bed for a tranquil nights sleep.
The 3 piece bathroom is accessed through the bedroom and the additional beds are in the living room area (A daybed and trundle).
There is a cozy fireplace to keep the cabin warm when it’s chilly and you are welcome to use our outdoor fire pits- as long as there isn’t a fire ban.
The wood fired outdoor hot tub is available for an additional $70 per booking (which can be paid by debit, credit or via e-transfer) the tub must be reserved at least 24 hours in advance- it’s all yours not shared, but is subject to availability as it’s emptied, cleaned and refilled after each booking. Its availability is also subject to change dependant on fire restrictions at the time of your stay. It’s wonderful to relax under the stars with the gentle crackling of the fire heated tub. There are no chemicals used and the water is heated by an immersed wood stove-it gets pretty hot! The hot tub can fit up to four guests very closely, three comfortably, and two perfectly.

Please note the cabin is attached to our barn just across the driveway from our house. In the barn we have a craft market that is occasionally open on weekends and shares a wall with the cabin itself.
If you’d like a peek at our market space just let us know and we’d be happy to open it for you!

We’ve recently added chickens to our little homestead, so you may have the pleasure of hearing our rooster “Heathrow” greeting you in the morning.

The property is surround by mature trees and we’re always working on growing or building something new. We encourage you to take a stroll around, you’re sure to glimpse a hummingbird or two, our beehives and chickens are just behind the barn and we have ducks in the garden by the house. Just watch out for the electric fence around the bee yard!

A half dozen farm fresh eggs ($3) and fresh baked sourdough ($7) are available for your stay with at least 24 hours notice.
We also offer a couple of things to do while you’re visiting:
Join us for our "Be a Beekeeper" experience and info session where we provide you with a protective suit and tour of our hive yard to learn the basics of beekeeping when we open up the hives and have a look inside.
Or perhaps you’d like to enjoy a private tea party in the beautiful dining room of our 225 year old home. Choose one of our custom tea blends served along with a light lunch or snacks.
Please message us for more details!

Guest access

Feel free to wander the yard and gardens and use the outdoor space. Just watch out for the electric fence around the bee yard!

Other things to note

Please request the hot tub in your booking inquiry, as we need at least 24 hours to prepare it. Its availability is subject to change dependant on fire restrictions at the time e of your stay.
We have decided to add an extra fee for use of the wood fired hot tub ($70 per booking) to keep the nightly cabin rate lower for those that do not wish to use it.
There is absolutely no smoking of any kind permitted on the property.
